In spring 2022, HCAT Arlington partnered with Read Early and Daily and Aspire! After School Learning on a StoryWalk project along Four Mile Run trail near Arlington Mill Community Center. A StoryWalk is movement and literacy boosting project that displays pages of a children’s book along a walking trail. HCAT Arlington’s first StoryWalk featured the book “Wonder Walkers” by Misha Archer. In fall 2022, HCAT Arlington again collaborated with Read Early and Daily on a bilingual StoryWalk, featuring “Call Me Tree/ Llámame Árbol” by Maya Christina Gonzalez. The pages of this book were displayed in Tyrol Hill Park in the Forest Glen neighborhood.
